Kate 0 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 hey guys, i am trying to figure out which states require their AD's to be certified. If you could, please list your state and certification or no certification. I think it will be helpful for those just coming into the AD profession and those looking into getting into it. Thank you so much! Kate

Guest Guest_AggieTiff Report Share Posted August 28, 2006 Tiki, Is that the requirements for each level? Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living (including memory care, right?), and Independent Living. I am showing my ignorance but I just do not know. I worked in IL before I got the job I have now. I was not certified when I was hired but now I am on that road...still have a few CEUs, I think....I am in AL now with memory care. I know in IL you do not have to have anything....or at least I did not. Is AL and Skilled Nursing about the same in the requirement? Guest Tinki Report Share Posted August 28, 2006 No only for LTC - Most AL want to hire a AD certificated but it is not always a requirement. It really depends on the facility. Hope this helps Karen
