Hi, Sue G & LindyinPA! :-D

This is without a doubt the hottest AD site on the net! Since I joined it has really provided a lot of resources and help for me. It's great to have a place where you can get a bunch of help as well as emotional support. We all understand what each other is going through. I have included the attached message for both of you; and I hope it will help you in your AD'ing. Welcome!

Sincerely,

Linda Lucas, AD ;-)

Dear Activity Director,

This is an invitation for you to visit my new site for Activity Directors. The name of the site is The Activity Director’s Office and can be found at http://www.theactivitydirectorsoffice.com . I have added a monthly newsletter to the site and you can sign up now and not miss the first edition which comes out in December 2004. The newsletter will be written as an Adobe PDF file. The link will be e-mailed to you each month so you can either read the newsletter online or print out a copy for yourself. It requires that you have the industry standard Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Most computers come with that software factory installed. However, if you need to load it into your computer, you may get it for free at this address: http://www.download.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=...ader&tg=dl-2001 .

I will include this address in your e-mail announcement about the newsletter.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me get my website up and running. Special thanks go to Pennie and Chip Bacon of The Activity Director Network at http://www.activitydirector.net ; Gina Salazar of Activity Ideas That Work at http://pages.ivillage.com/ginasalazar2004/ and Activity Chat at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Activ...?yguid=32256940 ; and my husband Bob Lucas of Newsletter-Express.com at http://www.newsletter-express.com .

Sincerely yours,

Linda Lucas, AD

PS: You are more than welcome to submit articles of interest, poems, humor, photos and just about anything else for insertion into my newsletter. The only compensation I can offer you is the credit for the submission. All submissions are subject to editing. I cannot guarantee that all submissions will be published. However, they definitely can't be published if you don't send them to me. So be brave and fire your e-mail to me at admin@theactivitydirectorsoffice.com. Or you can mail your information to me at:

Hi, Nette10566! :-D

I'm from Indiana so I don't know much about Texas. However, Pennie Bacon, the administrator of this site, posted a reply to another AD looking for Texas certification. I copied and pasted it below.

Best wishes,

Linda Lucas, AD ;-)

To be national certified you should go to the NCCAP.org site

You can just be certified in Texas, if you prefer. Either way you will need to still sit in on the exam. To learn when it will be and anything else about being certified and activities contact the "Guru of activities" Pam Sanders. She has more knowledge, personialty, connections than anyone I know. I am sending 2 email addresses for her. I forget which one is her good one. When you find out which one is the correct one would you mind letting me know? Tell her that I gave it to you & that I said "Hi" Thanks Pennie
