    Giving Back

    Maybe your residents could decorate cookies (already baked) to go along with your sister facility whom is cooking meals. This goes with one another and both facilities are giving to the community! Teresa

    One thing we have done at our facility for the month of January is make snow flakes. We used coffie filters and folded them four ways then cut out shapes. We hung them all around the activity room, it looks very nice. Even thou Christmas is over it's still winter. The next thing we are going to do is decorate cookies and have a hot chocolate and cookie party in our snow flake room. Teresa

    An idea is we invited the residents loved ones to come for Cookies with Santa! We brought in the residents and they enjoyed the kids as they talk to Santa. Santa went around and asked the residents what was that one special thing they remember getting as a kid from Santa? That was very interesting and fun! Enjoy, Teresa

    In our facilities the Activity Dept can only paint and remove polish. Only the STNA's can trim their nails. Teresa

    Yes, the residents love playing the Wii! Infact I have added it to the calendar of events a couple times a week now. The Wii Sports is what the residents enjoy the most, as well as American Idol! The thing about the Wii game is it covers all ages, male or female. Have fun, Teresa
