In our state(PA) we are nto allowed to cut nails only file them. Also- your facility allows candles? I am surprised.

In PA it is now required to have all volunteers tested with the ppd- unless they have had a chest x ray that can also prove they do not have tb. It does scare many volunteers away, and not all NHs are enforcing it, although they should as it is state law- they could be cited on it.

keep in mind there is a pacemaker warning on the wii website. those with pacemakers should not have the remote 9 inches next to their heart! is family fued a wii game? that sounds like a good bet for a popular program.

thanks bigchris. i guess it varies state by state. i know the feeding does! i have been trying to find a good program for feeding training as well- it's an 8 hour course in PA. other states- like ny- it only has to be an hour or two.

Hello! Does anyone know the nail care regulations- I was always told only certified nursing aids can cut nails, not activity workers. Is this true? Thanks!
