  1. My building is going smoke free. Would anyone be interested in sharing your smoking policy, if so please e-mail it to me ms.mo327@yahoo.com. Thanks
  2. Please share more info, these stations sound cool. How big are they and what do they consist of?
  3. You should remove yourself from the source of stress right a way and take a few deep breaths, you moght want to take a few days off to regroup. Hope that helps.
  4. I would like to see what kind of monthly cal, participation records, and 1:1 forms people are using today. I am trying to revise a few things. I would like to see a particiation record with 3 months combinded with 1:1 visits. Is this too much to ask for. If anyone can help me I would be sooooooo greatful. Thank you
  5. 1. Be honest with your residents. Tell them everyone won't be able to go every time, and how important it is that they work together so that everyone get a chance to go. 2. Have two outing a week until everyone get out at least once. 3.Have a sign up sheet first come first serve. 4 Let the residents selcet where they want to go the more choices you will have. 5.Have an outing inn ex. my residents love to go eat. So what I did was gather a few menus from places that they picked. I let them vote by a raise of hands. They select. Let the residents pick what they want, follow your system for getting resident's money. Call the order in ahead of time and go pick it up.I did this and it went over very well. I hope this works I'v done KFC, Red Lobster and Pizza Hut.
  6. Well your parachute you could call it musical parachute jazz or what ever type of music you are using.IF all the items you listed are all in the group maybe sports follies or free throws.
  7. Fall is a fun time in my building we do a school drive in late Aug and thourgh Sept. I engage residents in discussions of the childern returning to school this was an important time in thier lives. Getting the kids back in school parents get some free time, but on the other hand for some this was a rough time due to have to buy new school supplies. We have discussions of all the fun we had over the summer while looking at pitcures from these programs. And in Oct I make a pumkin patch in the court yard, invite a day care center and have snacks. The childen pair up with a residents pick a pumpkin and they decorate them together. I serive warm cider and spice cookies.
  8. Will I recently hire a new assistant, and 1 thing that I found interesting is giving them 5 mins to write a song to any tune that explains what they will bring to the department. Than have them sing it to you. This will show how they work under pressure, how creative they are and how far they are willing to go to ensure residents have a great time. It is also a tool to see if they have talent. It works for and it is fun. Most people will do, but I did have 1 lady state that she judt could'nt do it and she got up and left.
  9. Well you could use this time to talk about storms. You can use news paper articles and news broadcast to track the ones that your city has encountered recently. Or use the time for games or crafts or let the residents choose what they would like to do. Having a fun day sounds good too, you could even involve other staff to try to relieve some of the stress in the building.
  10. Wish I COULD HELP BUT CAN YOUPLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE FROG CRAFT GROUP IS AND THE TRIVIA
  11. What type of programs are you looking for?
  12. Hi, can you have your morning program last a little longer or make your own price is right game have items that you have brought from the store and see if the residents can guess the price and them could win a prize or ribbon depending on your budget. Please let us know how it works out. Can you mention what pre meal programs you provide before breakfest and dinner.
