MartiT. 0 Report Share Posted October 19, 2008 Staff/Volunteer-Motivation :: Group Angel's Helpers Description : -The goal of this program is to promote socialization between staff and residents. Instructions : • Require each staff member to adopt a resident to spend extra one-on-one time with each week. • The Angels Helpers will be given a few residents to help meet their special needs, visiting, or playing games. • There are many residents whom do not have reliable family members and this program will help to compensate for the lack of attention each resident receives weekly. • For the staff it will entice further interaction with residents and give them an increase of self-worth. Some people still have the attitude of "its not my job" even though the new ftags are encouraging all staff to take part in programs. Or the other attitude, if they do help out for a bit, "I have to get back to work now". I'd like to change this!!
blessed1 0 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2008 I love that idea too, but what I really need is a 15 min activity/competition we can do at change of shift. It's for morale boosting and a chance for residents and staff to earn prizes. we've done these before and it's hard to get most to participate but once they do they have a lot of fun. uh, I need you angels idea too. thanx
