They are also offering Live Webinars on NAAP.info each month. Need continuing Education? The following educational opportunities are pre-approved by the Credentialing Center. We realize that some may have difficulty getting to live workshops, seminars, and other face to face education, thus the reason for the change. We heard you and we listened. The requirement will still be: one half of all continuing education hours required be face to face for Activity Director Certification. However, we will accept live webinars as a face to face session IF it is pre-approved by the Credentialing Center. As a partner of NAAP we pre-approve their monthly Lunch and Learn webinars. These sessions are free to NAAP members, so if you are not a member, join soon at naap.info. The instructions on how to take part in the Lunch and Learn sessions are on the website as well. Face to face status will be accepted on any webinar that you attend live that has been pre-approved by the NAAP Credentialing Center. Please don’t hesitate to contact the office with any questions.
My name is Michael Charles Smith and I play solo classical marimba! I play every thing from Bach to Jazz, and from Ray Charles to Radiohead. I mostly pay special events, but my favorite audiences are seniors at assisted living communities! I have been playing at some assisted living communities in Portland Oregon and always get a wonderful response, but its been hard to get a hold of most activity directors unless I physically hunt them down and show them a video of my playing. I would love any advise on how to reach a greater number of activity directors to market my talents! Thanks for you help! <www.michaelcharlessmith.com>
