I think that this will be fine. You might need to ask for a doctors order. But its a good idea! and if this doesnt come though you can always settle for grape juice & the welchs brand has non alcholic drink in a wine looking bottle.

Start something like a book club. Volunteer during the week and meet for something fun on weekends. A dinner and movie is a good one. You can save money by having everyine bring a dish. Or take turns picking a movie!!!!

Inviting people from the local community and having a gumbo & jambalya cook off can always be fun. You can also try a parade through the building with music and dancing. The more exciting you make the parade the more the residents will get involved!

It would be really cool if you let the residnets vote for their favorite employees and do like a oscar award!!! Setting up the facility like an old drive in would also be a cute idea also. Or get some staff or volunteers to act out the famous movie Grease!!!!

I have done some karaoke and sing alongs with my residents and they have really enjoyed it. Other ideas are a poker nite, beading, sorting, and making smores. Hope this is helpful to you!!!! Enjoy.

Residents always love to hear music. You can play the music by themes. One day do a spa session with soft therapy music. Then the next day you can do 60's. Music can really set an environment!!
