fremontca 0 Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 Happy Holidays to all Board Members. I am not sure if i had inquired before, but if there were no more retirement homes tomorrow in this world, what would aff of us do spinning off from being an activity director. you think we'll make more not being an AD? gina 2 Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 Hi Freontca :-) , Well,in answer to your question, I have also worked as an activity director in a city parks and recreation setting, with children.I didn't much like it, but if I had to I could go back to doing that. Some other ideas: Daycare Activity Director ,Social Services Director,Cruise Ship Activity Director, Apartment Activity Director( this position is becoming more popular!) and I am sure there are other jobs out there.... Have fun! Gina ;-)
lllucas 0 Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 Hi, Everybody! :-D I was once a gut puller in a turkey processing plant :-o . I would not go back to that...EVER!!!!! I'd probably get involved in another Activity position (like Gina described) or retire and just tend to my website. What a question! Linda Lucas, AD ;-) http://www.theactivitydirectorsoffice.com
Stacy 0 Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 I have always thought about being a cruise ship director, but I think I'm past my time with that. Otherwise, I would probably go into the Park Districts or teaching. Stacy
fremontca 0 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2005 is a long abandoned topic...... but has anyone thought about working for a hotel if they stop working for a retirement home?
