Flgirl 0 Report Share Posted March 13, 2004 I need some activity ideas for an "open house" that our daycare center for alzheimer clients is planning for th end of April. I thought of taking a lot of pictures before then and displaying them, showing what activites we do. I would like to plan some special activites that day to "show us off "to the public. Lea7 0 Report Share Posted March 14, 2004 Depending on how large your community is, you could have various entertainers scattered throughout the building, maybe a juggler, guest speakers, a hands-on arts and crafts object going on, and refreshments. gina 2 Report Share Posted March 14, 2004 One year we had a Italian themed Open House: We passed out fliers throughout the community,at the senior citizens centers,and hung them up at bussiness'.We offered the community an Italian Dinner for $1.00 we had Speghetti,salad,garlic bread and a drink. We had italian decorations and music throughout the facility.We decorated the tables with red,white checkered tablecloths and candles.Then we had a tour of the facility,followed by an evening at the movies,we showed a Sofia Loren movie(don't remember the name).Then we had spamoni(italian ice cream).It was a real success and our residents had a great time.
