At my facility we hand out money for prizes. It doesn't cost much and the residents love it and look forward to it all week long. We do two 25cent games, two 50cent games, 75cent four corners and $1.00 blackout game. Its very cheap and a lot of fun!

In my facility we serve alcoholic drinks (pina coladas, daquiris, margaritas, wine and beer) during happy hour, they are adults. What we had to make sure to do was contact the DON and have the nurses call the doctors and get oks to serve the residents alcohol.

We usually like to include a lot of the other departments to lead some group activities. For example we have a nutrition presentation once a month led by our dieticians and a live cooking show once a month led by two of our chefs.
