  1. I totally understand what you are going through. When I started at my facility no one even mentioned to me that charting is something that had to be done. It was kind of an optional thing. I truly can say it is a very important thing to do for many reasons. I simply went into excel and typed in all my residents names down the left side and put the activities for the day across the top. I keep the blank template on my computer and just type the activities for the day across the top and print it off daily. Charting is a pain to matter what. I have almost 90 residents so I understand what a pain it is, but it is so worth it.
  2. Are you going to do the dart game with just the men or with everyone? Also, I would love to know where you are going to be doing this activity in your facility. I think that would be a great activity for my men's club to try. Let me know how it goes. I am also interested to know how many residents come to the spelling bee activity you have?
  3. I have not started a Red Hat Society Chapter at my facility yet, but I have been thinking of trying to start one. My problem is that I don't think very many or any for that matter even know what it is. I know the ladies would have a good time once they got involved, but I have such a difficult time getting my residents excited about doing anything. They are more concerned with their TVs! I thought I would try explaining what it is at either my next activity meeting with the residents or explain it on the back of our daily activity sheet and let them come to me about what they think. I'll let you know how it goes.
