jsabo 0 Report Share Posted October 3, 2005 Hello, I was wondering what some of you guys do for new residents in your facilities. I am wanting to expand my current welcome wagon and I am looking for some new ideas. Any suggestions would be a help. Thanks!!!!
StacieO 0 Report Share Posted October 3, 2005 We don't have a "welcome wagon". But, I have a Welcome Basket that will stock w/: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, candy (sugar free, too), comb, brush, listing of facility phone numbers, tv channel listings, & a card. We have 2 residents & one of my staff that bring this to the new residents. Our facility really doesn't have many more residents that are willing/able to do this! But the two that do it, love it! We try to get this done w/in 3 days of admission.
hcornell 0 Report Share Posted October 12, 2005 What a fun way to say "Hello" to a new resident. We have been having a tea every month to welcome our new residents, but I like the idea of bringing them a goodie basket. I will probably stick to the traditional "Hi" for my rehabbers though, or I'lll go broke! 8-)
LECINSA 0 Report Share Posted October 13, 2005 :-D We also do the welcome basket with goodies, but we also have a New Comers Dinner with the resident and their family. All our department heads come to this dinner. It gives all of us the opportunity to meet each other. It's very successful in our community.
