lllucas 0 Report Share Posted December 5, 2004 Hi, Everybody! :-) Well, my husband, Bob, who is a retired Health Facility Administrator, wants to establish an Adult Day Care Center. The nearest center is 30-40 miles away. According to surveys there is a need for an Adult Day Care Center in our county. The problem is after throughly scouring the internet, he could find no concrete information on how to begin the campaign and follow through to completion. If anyone has information they can direct him to, e-mail as an attachment, send through the mail, etc., please contact him through this message board, or at The Activity Director's Office ( http://www.theactivitydirectorsoffice.com ), or at rdlucas@insightbb.com . He says he wants to get the Adult Day Care Center established before he needs to use it himself (ha-ha!). :hammer: Seriously, any help will be appreciated. Looking forward to some great suggestions. I found a great document to download by going to the page: http://www.in.gov/isdh/links/health_care_links.htm then put "adult daycare" in the search box on that page and it will direct you to the page to download about adult daycare. I also found two other sites that might give you some info.: http://www.adultdaycaregroup.com/manual_2.html or http://www.totaladhc.com/ Maybe these will help...... For those of you who are interested in the survey that was conducted in recent years (2002 I think) to determine Adult Day Care need on a national county by county basis...check out the webpages of the R.W.Johnson Foundation. You can read or download their complete survey in PDF format. There is a great need for new ADC's throughout the country (i.e. thousands are needed). If anyone has any suggestions or directions on how to establish an Adult Day Care Center, please let me know.
