Hello there! My name is Cathy and I am currently taking the MEPAP1 course so that eventually I can get my activities assistant certification. I have worked as a CNA, RA, med tech and now as an activity assistant. I have been a 'jack of all trades' but now want to settle down and stay in one place for a while.

I enjoy working as an activity assistant becasue it is the one time that I can truly be a part of a resident's life. I can read, talk create a relationship with a resident and generally enjoy them and learn from them.

Hello to all .NET Forum Participants - and my fellow classmates from MEPAP1-050410!!!

My name is Lisa, I currrently volunteer 20 hrs/week at The Laurenwood Nursing and Rehab in Duncanville TX. As my grandmother has been a resident for some years, I began volunteering in activities. I fell in love with the residents and the profession and made it my goal to become a certified Activity Director. My current AD is soon to retire, so I plan on remaining at my current facility - The Maintenance Supervisor is my husband :) !!! I look forward to this resource both now and in the years to come!
