mcduck 0 Report Share Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) Hi I was browsing through the pictures on this site and I seen some very large Monthly Calenders....I have tried to make mine that large ...But with no success.....What is your secret......I use the Calenders on Activity Connection... Does everyone decorate your bulletine boards monthly... Or do you do it for the change of seasons..... Decorating the bulletine boards is often very time costly...And I have 4 to decorate.......I do it monthly.......I consider it important to the Dementia patients....I often show them the board and talk about it ......Telling them the weather..season etc...... Philco 0 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 Ok what I do is design my calendar in a legal size format you can use what they provide in this web site or even you own- save the document on a disk and take it to al local Office Max you can have them print out a color 2ft x 3ft calendar and then you can decorate around it. kmp0065 0 Report Share Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) My situation is fairly unique. My bulletin boards are actually separated into different sections, one section for each day of the week. I put the different activities for each day into each section and only really decorate the squares that are left without daily events. These calendars have been wonderful for my residents, because they are located near the dining areas and they can reference the day's events easily. I also print out a large calendar (on 11x17 paper) and post one in each residents room as well. I am able to format this on the computer and photocopy it in my own facility. I think in the case of how often to change a regular bulletin board, I agree that montly is how often I would change them. It does take a lot of time and effort, however I really do feel that the residents appreciate it. Edited November 9, 2008 by kmp0065
