Cardo, As an activity that supplies are very cheap.....I buy a deck of the large cards at the dollar store...And a regular size card deck for the caller... You shuffle out the whole deck of cards between your residents...( So each resident has an equal amount of cards) Then you use the other deck to call out the cards,,,When your resident card is called out they turn the card over ....When one resident has all their cards turned over they have Cardo....I give money out as a prize....50 Cents.... And then you reshuffle your deck and tell the residents to turn their cards over and we will play again.....Cardo is like bingo but with cards I hope this helps..

In my Nursing Home in Canada ...We are now developing the Quality of Service Program ....Where we do Audits of Activities .....The old audits that I use to do no longer serve my clientelle ...The residents do not remember the activites that they have done yesterday etc ...... Does anyone have any audits that I can look at..... Or do you know any where I can purchase help in setting up such audits.... 'Thank You

Hi I was browsing through the pictures on this site and I seen some very large Monthly Calenders....I have tried to make mine that large ...But with no success.....What is your secret......I use the Calenders on Activity Connection... Does everyone decorate your bulletine boards monthly... Or do you do it for the change of seasons..... Decorating the bulletine boards is often very time costly...And I have 4 to decorate.......I do it monthly.......I consider it important to the Dementia patients....I often show them the board and talk about it ......Telling them the weather..season etc...... My Home Only buys gifts for those residents that has no family.....We use to buy token gifts for everyone and then we decided some residents have no family...So now we buy nice gifts for a handful of residents.... Mcduck
