reginabrown 0 Report Share Posted September 9, 2008 For 9-11 we are having a small memorial. I will set up an easel and display pictures, and just talk about the tragedies. I'm going to bring in my Time Magazine book, and talk about how peoples lives were changed forever. 9-11 falls on our movie day, and I even thought it would be nice to show some footage from one of the movies. But, overall we will have a discussion about that sad day in 2001. Regina

Hi, In addition to reminiscing about where the clients were on 9/11, we are going to listen to "God Bless the USA" (.99 on itunes) and read the poem, "Where was God on 9/11" I wanted to read inspirational survival stories of 9/11 but hey were harder to find on the internet than I thought
ILoveMyLVN 0 Author Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 The poem sounds great. I found a good documentary about how New York is doing now -- saw it at the library. However, patients want to watch United 93 and I'm torn on whether it will be too upsetting. Probably stick with the documentary instead... Along with the God Bless America, look for Enya's "Only Time". How are you playing the itunes? Do you have an ipod and port? All we have is a cd player but I want to know how we can play itunes. I have my own personal ipod but haven't used it much. THANKS again!!
TRiffic 0 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Hi I realize this post is probably too late now that 9/11 is almost over but I have itunes on my computer at home. It is free to download. Then I just burn the song(s) to a CD that I can play at work. ..You just have to have a CD burner on your computer to burn CDs. I think 9/11 is a hard day to observe. You want to honor those who died but you don't want to dwell on it too much and upset your clients. The poem sounds great. BillinDayton 0 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Most PC's purchased in the last few years all come with a CD burner. Many but not all laptops also can burn CD's... If you have a mp3 player like an Ipod or Zune, you can play them through the "aux in" input of most stereos or cd players... Bill

mefranks1970 0 Report Share Posted September 16, 2008 I played a video that was especially made for the day, it had a great deal to do with American pride and the flag, and some scripture references as well. We sang and played patriotic songs on the piano.
