beany 0 Report Share Posted June 12, 2008 Hi, I work at in a community dining program where we hold Sunday brunches every other week. For Mother's day we gave a rose to each woman. For our ladies who weren't mothers, we said something like "well I'm sure you have mothered someone in your life!" It's Father's Day now, and I'm trying really hard to think of an equivalent gift for Dads but am coming up short. One of the best things is that we don't have a strict budget, so it doesn't have to be something really tiny or "homemade" I thought about blue flowers, but its hard to get a lot of blue flowers in a bunch. My co worker thought of a wrapped chocolate. Do you have any ideas for me please? Thanks!
catlover30 0 Report Share Posted June 13, 2008 hey there... well if yoiu want to do blue flowers just buy a bunch of white flowers like carnations or white roses? then set them in water that has blue food coloring and let them sit over night and they should turn blue... you might want to do a test before.... and The albertsons in my city sells blue flowers 3 bunches for 12 dollars... you might want to check in your area... some other gift ideas... Hats...(especially since summer is practically here) jar of candy... you can even decorate the jar... or have others write on it? you can make huge cookies for them then write on the cookies with frosting... Or a basket of free time stuff like... Cards, dominoes, crossword puzzles, paint set, coloring book?!?!
