AA Screams during programs

Help my AA is very loud during programs with my residents and Ive asked a few times to lower her voice.............still is yelling. i have compaints from our residents, families and coworkers. Don't get me wrong i couldn't do my job as well, if i didn't hve her. But the yelling is really bad.

maybe you could get someone to film y'all in action, then use it as a training session?

 

I've been singing alongside a woman who is much too loud, I'm glad I was tactful though- turns out she is going deaf.

I'd certainly put it on her next performance review with the expected behavior also noted.

Have you asked her to get her hearing checked? Maybe you could get one of the nurses to do a test for everyone in your department so she is not singled out. Many times people who had mild to severe hearing loss simply don't understand how loud they are.

Has the problem gotten any better? One of my assistants is very loud, too. I will usually ask her to take some kind of paperwork to do during programs or performances. She still yells out though. I've never understood it, but it's good to hear others are doing the same thing. I plan to bring it up at her next evaluation. Does your AA have an eval coming up?
