Need a good reminisce book

I am starting a small group for reminisce and discussion for residents with early to middle dementia. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for reminisce books or other ideas that have worked well. I just ordered the best of a new day reminisce. It looked like a good one.

I use the Enrichement Sensory Program by Hall and Nolta, The book is more of an Enrichment Sensory Program but the items that are shared with residents can bring back alot of memories.

Hi Trixie

I really like the "Remember and Reminisce Books" that cover all kinds of trivia and word games from certain decades. We have purchased the 1930's, 40's and 50's and like I said it is full of trivia to bring back great memories for our residents. I can't remember the author though but I can get back to you on that. The New Day Magazines also have great reminiscing stories that rekindle great memories of the past. Hope this helps.

Hi I am new to the message board, well its been awhile anyway :) but I find that in between using a book or reminisce magazine I have them in a circle and ask them what they would like to talk about way back when. like cars, bridges what you did when you were younger, schools etc. I also do this at holiday time that way they share how they did their holiday. good luck and blessings
