Stacy 0 Report Share Posted July 21, 2004 Well, there's always a first. I am involved in a state survey that I consult in, and the surveyor actually said that one of the activity girls were too loud. I couldn't believe it. The administrator said that the look on my face when that was said was priceless. Have you ever heard of anything sooooo ridiculous?????? And the best part, I was in there when that surveyor was there. I totally diagree with what she was saying. There was so much other distraction going on in there, and she decides to pick on activities. How agrivating!!! The surveyor did say that she didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but just mentioning that is a big deal. Oh well. There are bigger issues they are focusing on anyway. We laugh,sing,and yell at the top of our voices to get our residents involved and they LOVE it!!! That surveyor is probably an old bookworm, never raised their voice in their whole life! I actually had a surveyor ask a question that she even forewarned me to answer carefully because it was a trick question - yes, she actually said that! So I had no right answer! I chose to say (though you are always told not to say this) that I didn't know! And then the surveyor laughed and said "Good answer." Those surveyor's aren't all they are cracked up to be! They said they were impressed the the amount of activities that the residents were involved in, and everything that they do. SO, Keep on being loud everyone.
