griffin1022 0 Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 Hello everyone! I just found this website today. No one has told me about it! Well let me tell you all alittle about me. I went to college in Michigan for recreation therapy. I just graduated in December. I am living down in Charleston, SC. I am still looking for a job down here and let me tell you it is not easy! If anyone has any secrets to getting a job please fill me in. Going on 2 months without a job just makes you want to go crazy haha Kelley
Diana 0 Report Share Posted February 8, 2006 Hi Kelley, welcome to the site! this is a great site for questions, directions and support! Take a look around and get a feel for all the site offers - from forms and documents to opportunities for jobs and chances to vent to other directors who face your same frustrations on a daily basis. Knowing there are so many others out there who are just as crazy as I am to continue working in a job they love, with a budget that cries for more and paperwork that is never ending - it's great! Again, welcome! Diana
mashonda 0 Report Share Posted February 9, 2006 Another good website for job listings is www.nrpa.org. Then click on the careers tab. Hope this information helps you out some.
Stacy 0 Report Share Posted February 9, 2006 You might want to see if you can attend the confrence that is coming up in South Carolina. You will be able to network there. If you can't attend, you can contact them. Sometimes the associations are made of job openings.
Guest Pat8231 Report Share Posted February 10, 2006 Griffen, Welcome to the best site around!! I left for about 1 year but re-entered the SNF/ALF market. I found this site to be informative and clear-cut. Some sites I did find were too complicated to move around in. Just a little input. Have a great day, Pat 8-)
