I have different ladies groups sponsor my monthly b-day parties. Red Hat Society, Church women's groups, Book clubs. I send a letter every July to the different clubs asking them to sponsor 1 party during the year. I get good response from this. I also send a reminder to them the month before the month they choose to sponsor. It is their choice what to bring. I only ask for a snack of some kind and a "Happy" for each of the resident's with birthdays. Some months the parties are the same but they are also different because of the people who are sponsoring them.
