I have only been doing activites for about 2 months in an assisted living and I am now in process of trying to get residents to participate. The old AD really did not have a system in place so activities fell thru the cracks.. Anyways... September has Assisted Living Week and I am planning a "Senior Prom" for the residents, family members and staff. My problem is that I have never put together such a huge event. We have had small socials etc but nothing that needed so much planning. I am hoping for this to really get the residents wanting to do activites.
Well, I guess after all that my questions is "Has anyone done a prom in their building and how well did it go over?" Also any food/deco/etc advise would be greatly appreciated..
