Went to a open discussion with the State Surveyor here in Florida, Paula Havrid, she went over the Mds 3.0... we had some questions she could not answer and will "get back to us" , however the way it was explained, the Act Section, F , is only required with the initial, an annual or a sig change........however the quartely notes will be reviewed for changes and revision and what the resident has been doing according to the care plan from the CAA and the assessment..........if the F section is all you are assigned............we too are looking at a crunch time, we are an 180 bed facility with a 40 bed medicare unit(transition)unit...........the way we understand it that we are facing 60+ residents who will require both a 2.0 and a 3.0 to capture the money within a 14 - 30 day span, not including new residents............ something that did come out of the "jam session" was that the Surveyors love the I care plans..............our team does too..
