Guest Guest_Wendy Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hi, This is my first time posting a message, and I'm very excited about this website. I am an activity assistant in Maine, but will be moving back to the Seattle area in September. Can anyone from Washington state tell me if it's normal for activity assistants to also be CNA or NAC certified? I will be looking for a job once I get back to Washington, and I hope that because I'm not certified as a CNA that won't prevent me from getting an activity assistant job. Thanks for your time. Pennie 26 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 Welcome Wendy I am in Texas so I can't help u with Seattle. Maybe someone on the NCCAP.org site can. If not go to the instructors listing & see if one is listed there maybe u can call them. However here CNA is for certified nurse aide AAC would be activity assistant certified (if they are certified) otherwise AA activity Ass't. They don't have to be certified in here, just the AD does. We'll look for you on the board. Also please register on our site you'll get our newsletter & up dates as we are making lots of new changes & adding to the site. We'll will be announcing stuff to everyone very soon. Pennie
