HI! So this year ive been given the chance to help plan our "St. Patrick's day" celebration in our facility!!

im really excited for the opportunity that ive been given. i have a few ideas that i would like to be able to bring to life at our party. but im also open to any suggestions. i know many of you have much more experience on the matter and well my main goal here is to make sure our residents have a great time!

Anything green!! We are doing rice krispie treats with green food coloring this year. Last year we were a little more on the healthy side and did cumbers, broccoli and grapes. We have played St. Patrick's Day word games together or given everyone individual trivia sheets and when everyone is done we go over the answers. I know other people have had singers and dancers come in but I haven't found anyone to do that around here yet. I'm very interested to see what you think of for your St. Patrick's Day Party!

One year I had purchased several gold coins (chocolate ones) & hide them one at a time around the facility. Then we had a treasure hunt. Clues were written & provided to the residents. Every hour 1 clue was given out & read over the PA System. As they were found the person would bring it to activities & get a prize. Then the coin was hidden again. Let everyone know that one was found and a new set up clues are now being given out. Resident enjoyed the fun & you will notice how they start to interact with each other during this activity.
