heavenstar 0 Report Share Posted May 18, 2010 We have a very active ceramics studio and would like to add a glass fusing/ jewelry class to our program. The problem is we have a very old kiln. We need a digital one-- that costs around $600. What are some ideas for a fundraiser? We just had a bake sale and garage sale and next month we will have a dinner-- so we can't use those. cindylu 0 Report Share Posted May 18, 2010 Angie, another Idea. for the past 2 years we have raised money for March of Dimes by making different kinds of hot sandwiches(hotdogs, sloppy joes and shredded chicken sandwiches, chips and drinks and bring them at lunch time. Day staff, evening and weekend staff love them. We can make a couple hundred in one weekday and one weekend. Shredded Chicken Sandwich:You can by the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup. Put in your crockpot take to work and serve.

penkay 1 Report Share Posted May 25, 2010 You could also have a raffel -- fix up something related to Father's Day or July Fourth & sell raffel ticket -- hold a craft show at the facility, sell booth spaces to the community & advertise this in the paper, local stores, signs in the neighbor hood etc.. --- ask family members, staff, volunteers & residents to donate items & hold a garage sale at the facility -- you might ask the place that has the equipment you want if they will donate it or what is the lowest price they will sell it to the facility for. Best of luck
