I am an Activity Director in California, I currently have a resident whom is younger and LOVES New York. She is looking for a pen pal and I was hoping someone in New York might have a resident or two whom would enjoy being a pen pal with this lady. She would probably be writing about once a week or so. be1123 0 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 I think penpals are a great idea! I have a few residents that have mentioned this and I would really like to do it. Our facility is in Ohio and it's an assisted living facility for Alzheimer's and Dementia. One of my residents is a male that was a Spanish Teacher and he is very intelligent. The other resident is a female and she is very artsy and motivated with new things. She loves writing and writes in her journal everyday. Her brother was also an author!
