Pennie 26 Report Share Posted November 19, 2009 The H1N1 influenza virus has found its way into a long-term care facility in Kennebec County Maine this week, according to the Kennebec Journal Morning Sentinel. State health officials did not release the name of the facility, which is closed to visitors at this time. The facility is the first in Maine to face an H1N1 outbreak. The severity of the virus’ presence is not known, but residents and staff members have been given antiviral medications.
