Karen has 13 years experience in Assisted Living Facilities, Long Term Care, Dementia Care, Psychiatric, and recreation centers. She received a B.A. from Texas State University in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Karen is an approved instructor for the Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation and Activity Professionals in Texas since 2000. She is also an approved instructor for the National Council for Dementia Practitioners. Karen has created and presented many Continuing Education workshops for Activity Directors in Texas and Online.
