Lynn56 0 Report Share Posted August 18, 2004 In my search for a job as an Activity Director - which books or textbooks would you recommend? Books could cover legal aspects or ideas of activities for residents or many other topics. Thanks for contributing ideas.
dawn 0 Report Share Posted August 18, 2004 For Care Plans I recommend the care plan cook book third edition. It is a wonderful time saver.
bigchris 1 Report Share Posted August 29, 2004 Hey Dawn, I am sorry to say that I have been un-impressed with the majority of "activity" books there are on the market. In my opinion, most seem out-dated and based on the Bingo principle. However, there are some great books on the individual aspects of our job that include: pet therapy, art therapy, aroma therapy and dementia. I apologize but I am at the library and cannot give you all of the titles, but if you let me know your interests I can look them up on my bookshelves.
