Hi Pat,

Have you tried : www.hhs.gov/policies/index.shtml

This is the site for the United States Health and Human Services.

I dont know what you are looking for but this site has alot of regs./policies info.

I could not find anything for florida alone.

I hope this helps.Gina

Hi Gina, I'll give it a shot, thanks for the info. What I am trying to find is something about smoking within so many feet of a doorway. Pat8231 8-)

hey pat,

there is a law in florida about smoking in common areas such as walkways, but it does not specify a distance.

go to:http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/abt/rules-statutes/amendment6-faq.pdf

go to page 5, then go down to#30.It will let you print it out if you need to.bye.Gina :-P

Hi Gina, thanks so much for the info. What I read, if I read it correctly, is that you can not smoke in any entryway. It might not state the feet but that was my complaint at work. The smokers were standing out doors within 3 feet the activity room smoking. The smoke drifted into the room and I had an asthma attack. Also, their were patients with oxygen tanks and other breathing problems. When I mentioned this to the AD it fell on deaf ears since she was one of the smokers. Some days there were a total of 6 smokers standing near the doorway. Needless to say I had to quit!! Again, I just LOVE this website. Pat8231 8-)
