Guest Tinki Report Share Posted August 12, 2006 Has anyone attended one of these events? I was wondering how the residnets liked it? Thanks, Karen
Guest Guest_AggieTiff Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 We have never done this at our community....but there are Studio Movie Grills (the name of the business) that we have gone to. They are theatres that you go and eat while watching a movie. We have gone to these about onmce a month and once the residetns got used to the idea they LOVE it. It is a bit confusing at first to them because it is new. I take both AL and Memory care and they have a great time. It can get expensive, however. We go to the one in Plano, Texas. The staff there is great, too. I make sure I bring enough staff from the community and we do just fine. Have fun. Tiff

Guest Guest_Shelly Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 Hi, I love this idea~ ... Hi, I am a board member with APAGD- Activities Professional Association of Greater Dallas. I want to extend an invitation to our next meeting Monday, Sept. 18th at 12:00-2pm at Presby Villiage North. Members only receive CEU's. Membership is $25.00 annually. Guests are welcome and lunch is optional for $5.00. We also have a brand new satellite group for networking/socialization that is meeting in Plano. It is called the APAGD Fellowship group at this time(does not include CEU's nor does replace the general meetings). However we have about 10 people committed and attening the group! We will have more groups in other areas such as these coming up soon. For further information you may email APAGD@netzero.com ! Guest Linda Locke Report Share Posted September 8, 2006 Hello Everyone, I was searching for something and stumbled on your site. I am the Special Events Manager with Studio Movie Grill in Copperfield. Yes, we are hosting a Senior's Day on the last Friday of each month (for as long as there is enough interest). We have set up a special price which includes the movie and lunch. We keep the lights a little brigher then at a regular showing and turn the volume down. I save a row for people in wheelchairs or who cannot manage the steps. If you are interested and/or would like more information, please contact me at 832-593-6684 x13 or LLocke@studiomoviegrill.com Please RSVP - we only have the event if there is enough interest that month.
