wonytineres 0 Report Share Posted August 11, 2006 Do any of you have ceramic programs at your facility? We currently have a fairly large program (about 70 residents from throughout our campus participate). The issue we are attempting to address at this time decreasing the time the staff person who coordinates this program spends driving about town purchasing supplies i.e. paints, brushes, equipment, etc. I have explored ordering everything but greenware on line, which seems to be part of our answer. I am just wondering if anyone else has any ideas/suggestions/comments on how you run your ceramic programs. Thanks!
Guest Guest Report Share Posted August 15, 2006 Try the website creativeglazes.com- we order our supplies from them.
Capemom8741 0 Report Share Posted October 11, 2006 Try phoning local ceramic businesses in your area. In the past, one ceramic center owner developed a program where they brought unfinished ceramic pieces and provided a teacher who lead the ceramic instruction. I became an assistant helping the residents, so it took a heavy burden off of me. There was a per head charge for this service, and each month we could choose a theme piece. Of course we only had 28 residents.
