mashonda 0 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 Just wanted to remind the TRS's to apply for licensure if you haven't already. Can't remember when the deadline is to be grandfather'd in.
Stacy 0 Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 I'm confused. Is there something different happening?
Guest Guest_ErinE Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 I don't understand this either. I checked with the NCTRC website and there isn't anything that I could find regarding licensure (TRS' are certified not licensed) and NCTRC has never grandfathered in TRS' as far as I know. If someone knows something different here and can direct me to where I can check into it other than NCTRC, please let us know. Thanks. mashonda 0 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 Sorry about the confusion. I realized that after I posted it and read all the questions that I accidentally left out that this is in the state of north carolina. In north carolina, trs' have to be state and nationally certified, hence the TRS/CTRS. Well now as a TRS in the state of north carolina we have licensure instead of state certification, and instead of using TRS, once licensed we have to use LRT/CTRS. If you are interested in reading more about this, check out the following webpage. http://www.ncbrtl.org Once again, I apologize for the confusion and the mass panic that it almost caused.
