Guest Pat8231 Report Share Posted January 29, 2006 Hi Robin, Welcome to the site (best around town!!). I am an Activities Assistant who recently went back into the field because I loved it so much. I work part time at night at the reception desk and during the day as an AA. I tried another field but my heart truly is in activities. Guest Guest_Billie Report Share Posted January 30, 2006 Hi Pat, It can be a little scary, because it is a big responsability. But it is best to get it so that you can understand the position better and of course you get the pay increase also. so think about it . later Billie :-)

Guest Pat8231 Report Share Posted January 31, 2006 Hi Judy, Welcome to the website. To Billie - I did most of the AD's work because she was outside smoking most of the day. True story, she would sit for hours outside the faclity and do nothing but smoke. Only time the AD would come inside was to go to the bathroom or eat!! I was an Assistant Director at one point but left the facility. Think the main reason why I never did go for that certification is that I'm plain lazy. I keep telling myself yeah one of these days. That day still hasn't come!! Take care. Pat 8-)
