Hi. I am new here, and trying to post a question. Not sure if I am doing this correctly. I can't seem to get back to the page I originally saw before registering. My name is Jan. This looks like an excellent site and forum to be involved in! I am in a position where I need to get certified, QUICK! I have worked full time as an activity aide for five years, so have at least 8500 Hrs or whatever it works out to. Have already done: activity planning and scheduling, calendars, entertainment scheduling, new resident assessments, and yearly evals, participation logs, etc., etc. I Have never done actual care planning, but am learning from a trusted Director and friend currently. (The place i work at is closing it's doors) I have been offered the Director position at two different brand new facilities, opening in May.....With a Certification!!! AAC, PREFERRABLY ADC. So... I need a quick, cheep, on-line certification that can preferrably be done at a fast pace, and yet accredited/accepted. IS THERE SUCH A THING OUT THERE??? HELP!!!
