MY NAME IS LASHUNDA AND I AM THE AD FOR OUR MEMORY CARE RESIDENTS. I TAKE OUR RESIDENTS ON BUS RIDES AND TO DAIRY QUEEN FOR ICECREAM EVERY WEEK ON FRIDAYS. I ALSO TAKE THE RESIDENTS OUT TO LUCHEONS. WE HAVE 3 SOCIALS A DAY. EVERY MORNING WE HAVE EXERCISE. WE DO ARTS AND CRAFTS, BINGO, TRIVIA, SING A LONGS, ETC.. WE DO HAVE A COOKING CLUB THAT WE DO TWICE A WEEK. WE HAVE LOTS OF PARTIES AND ENTERTAINMENT. I AM ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW IDEAS.

Life stations are stations that rekindles residents memories of their past. For example I am setting up a station that looks like a 1940's kitchen. I am also doing one for a wedding, fishing and power tools. We have this for our residents with alzheimers. We have taken different sections of our hallways for our life station. We also have one for baby dolls. It has a crib, blankets, dolls, bottles, etc.. Our wedding station has a wedding dress and a tux pinned up on the wall with a table in front of it with a guest sign in book, plastic candles, bouquet, and under the table we have a cd player that plays old wedding songs softly where the residents can sit next to it and remininsce.
