Masterpiece Aspen Ridge is currently recruiting for an Activities Assistant. This permanent part time position requires a class four driver’s license or the willingness to obtain one prior to start date. The candidate must be available to work some evenings and two weekends required per month. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Under supervision, plans and implements a variety of leisure activities for residents, utilizing initiative and judgment, and selecting work methods and procedures which are consistent with established guidelines and standards. Representative duties include arranging for special events, activities and excursions; contacting volunteers or community groups to conduct concerts and special interest activities, when required. Responsible for supervising and organizing volunteers through different programs. To promote a continued sense of independence and well-being by offering residents a diverse choice. Provides safe and courteous transportation for residents of Masterpiece Aspen Ridge scheduled and unscheduled trips. Keeps track of the whereabouts of residents while they are on bus trip. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Provide medical certificate annually (or as per Class 4 licence requirements). Class 4 Unrestricted Licence permitting the operation of 16-passenger bus. Must be insurable at regular rates and have an excellent driving record over at least the last 3 years. Provide clear drivers abstract.
