Hi! There are two fund raisers that have worked for me in the past:
1) Put together a "holiday raffle basket". If you have a Marshall's or "TJ Maxx" in your area, you can find great ideas and inexpensive items for the raffle basket. We usually sell the tickets for about 2-3 weeks at the cost of 1 ticket for $1, 3 tickets for $2 and 10 tickets for $5. Residents, families, and staff love it. Depending on the size of the facility, you can make a good sum.
2) Facility Bingo -- every other Friday, we sell bingo cards to staff for $1 and use the overhead to call off numbers. It takes only about 15 minutes; but the staff love it and get involved. They win half of the money collected. Hope this helps.
