Thank you everyone for your feedback- My final and accepted goal is to Develop a series of training modules for recreation and nursing staff conducting all group activities. In our long term care facility the nursing staff conduct activity programs with the dementia residents 24/7. There are two activity programs going on most of the day on the dementia unit. Hello everyone I am looking for help for my 2007 goals. Every year I submit 2 goals for the following year and this year my administrator has said no to my second goal which has been changed and re-submitted several times. An example of a goal that he did accept for 2007 is: Develop a program that allows residents to communicate with their family members on the internet- this program will be monitored by the recreation department staff with all the policies and procedure and education in place. A few goals that have been refused: Develop a one-to-one mobile computer cart- Included resident education on working with computers and allowing the residents to keep the cart in their room for independent use. Develop a staff education program on "Resident Centered Care/Culture Change" that would include a montly newsletter for the employees and quarterly inservices. There have been other rejected goals and I am drained- So if anyone has a good idea that they would like to share I would be very grateful. Michelle

Hello, My name is Michelle I am a Recreation Deirector of both LTC and ALF in Northeast PA. Brand new to this site this morning. I only briefly browesed through and knew that I wanted to sign up.
