Hey! Activity at your Fingertips is a hydration cart converted into a rolling activity office. I have interchangeable activity kits, a cd player, portable dvd player, garden center etc. in other words anything used for large groups can be on this cart. The main reason for this cart in to increase the quality and quanty of in room activities, and it works great with resident's that may be anxious. Before making this cart more time was wasted lookin for in room activities, now their can be up to 30 activities at a time on one cart and the AA take it with them on the hall, it has a brightly covered canopy resident's and staff alike enjoy the cart. You can customize it to your resident and their needs.

Hi my name is Kim I'm an activity director at a 185 bed LT facility in Alabama, I started in long term care 8 years ago, before that I lived in florida and worked at a bank, I have been AD for 3 years, have 5 assistants, I enjoy my job and my passion is Alzheimer's programming (we have a 32 bed Alz. Unit) and 1 to 1 programming as well. I just won a best practice for my 1 to 1 program "Activities at your fingertips". I'm provisionally certified and working towards my final class for moving up a level in my certification. I would like to be a consultant, as I enjoy helping other facilities implement programs. I enjoy chatting with other activity professionals, swapping ideas and learning all i can. I hope to post often. Hope to "talk" with ya'll regularly.
