I have just joined the ranks of a really great facility. My problem is the rule that they have there of getting a signiture from a resident each time a picture is taken. We are told that because of HIPPA, this is necessary. What are the Federal regs on this and won't one signiture upon admission be sufficient? Other facilities that I have worked at require only the one signiture. Are we being overly cautious? Residents want glamor shots done and other pics taken but the headache of the paperwork has nixed all this. Please help. Thanks in advance. Betty 8-)
