I had my men wok on sanding driftwood, or burnishing it with metal spoons. we actually entered some of the pieces into the local driftwood show! Bring in antlers for a hunting discussion. Have them sand blocks of wood to turn into card holders. Cut PVC pipe to use for a PVC pipe tree. Good luck.
