Hi! My name is Aurora, and I'm new to this forum. I have my BS in Therapeutic Recreation, and am currently pursuing my MS in TR with an emphasis on Research and Teaching. I've been in this field for my whole life (my mom ran a senior center, so I grew up spending summers with the seniors by request). I now work as the Director of Therapeutic Recreation for a CCRC on Philadelphia's Main Line, providing programming to Skilled Nursing (Short-term and long-term) as well as Personal Care and Memory Support. In addition to my full-time job and school, I also sit on the board of directors for the New Jersey/Eastern PA TR Association, and sit on the TR Program Advisory Committee for Temple University. For some reason I find it hard to say no to these things and keep making myself busier and busier. When not doing one of these TR-related activities, I like to spend time crocheting, watching movies, cooking (love trying new recipes), traveling with my fiance, and spending time with my kitty cat.
