Hello everyone, my name is Scott  and I have worked in long term care for the past 12 years. I am currently employed by Waterview Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Purdys, NY. My entrance into the healthcare field was a happy accident. In 2005 I graduated from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY with a B.S. in Music. Soon after graduation I set out to look for a job where I would hopefully be able to use music on a day to day basis in some capacity. By chance I stumbled upon an job listing for an Activities Leader in Scarsdale NY. The add went on to state that musical ability was a plus so on a whim I submitted my resume, landed an interview and was ultimately hired for the position. This began my career in the field of activities. Over the years I have enjoyed working closely with resident to improve their quality of life though recreation.
