kmbm32 0 Report Share Posted January 17, 2018 Hello everyone! Wondering if anyone out there has a policy they can share! Looking for one related to the spreading of infection......related to activities supplies, crafts, games, bingo chips, etc. For example....if a resident that has c-diff comes to bingo- what is your policy??? What precautions do you take and how do you sanitize bingo chips, equipment, etc???? Wear gloves, sanitize with wipes, etc??? Thank you!!!!!! SinglikeBaber 1 Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 In our facility, we try not to encourage residents with C-Diff in the activity and for them to understand what they have is infectious. However, when we have a wandering resident with Alzheimer's contract C-Diff, I wear gloves and clean everything they touch with disinfectant wipes. Just try to isolate the resident on the unit as much as possible and wearing appropriate contact measures is very important for staff. Hope this helps
