macpros 0 Report Share Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Hi All - I stumbled across this site and figured it was the perfect place to get feedback on a solution that my company is thinking about offering. We have created an iPad checkout solution that we are currently offering to schools and libraries. It allows users to checkout a iPad and on return the iPad is erased and ready for the next user. It also charges and secures the iPads when they are not in use. Recently it has come to our attention that senior living facilities might have interest in something like this. I’m reaching out to a select group to see if something like this would be of interest and was hoping to get feedback from professionals like yourself. Ultimately I’m hoping to work with a couple organizations that would like to implement such a solution and tweak our existing Public Library offering to fit Senior Living Facilities. For example iPads could have apps like Skype, FaceTime, games that help with cognitive impairments, music, TV, news, social media, crosswords, news, and more. You can learn about our library solution here: http://www.macprofessionals.com/new-library-ipad-checkout-solution/ I would love to hear what this group thinks about such an offering? Thank you Edited May 9, 2014 by macpros
macpros 0 Author Report Share Posted May 14, 2014 No one? I can take criticism as well Maybe it's not praticle in your situation because you're in long term care with much older residents. Maybe you think it's a good idea but you're not sure the checkout part of this would work well in your environment. I'm interested in hearing about any thoughts around this.
